Diezel J. Krentz is a second-generation driver with strong ties to the sport of stock-car racing. His intrinsic driving talent runs through Krentz's DNA, however, his competitive drive style, intuitive mechanical knowledge, and business virtue are all his own. His irresistible charisma and entertaining originality have helped him become one of the most popular people in racing today.
Diezel began racing at the the age of 18. Excelling at a remarkable pace, he quickly moved up divisions, generating monumental success in each and every one. Diezel achieved titles such as "Rookie of the Year" and "Star on the Rise" consistently setting track records every year, placing Top 5 in most events before a devastating crash altered his life forever.
While working on his corner-speed for an upcoming dirt-bike race, Diezel washed-out, hitting the bottom of a table which threw him over the handlebars, instantly breaking his back. Every attempt the doctors and therapists made to get Diezel's legs working again failed. Now confined to a wheelchair, Diezel began to lose hope. But then, the universe stepped in, bringing Diezel an extraordinary nurse who told him the story of "The Coffee Bean," inspiring Diezel's to have a life-changing moment. Realizing he was "The Coffee Bean," Diezel gained the fortitude he needed to persevere. Despite having absolutely no feeling in his legs, Diezel learned to walk again! He also began motivational speaking to help inspire others to be "The Bean" and never give up!
Throughout the next 15 years, Diezel's life felt like an emotional and physical roller-coaster. But sometimes we have a greater purpose that we may not realize, and the universe stepped in again. This time, connecting him to the Jeep world and the extraordinary close-knit "Jeep family" that comes along with it. Now, with the encouragement and support of his new Jeep family, Diezel setoff on an amazing new racing adventure!
While developing a race team, Diezel's expertise and dedication enabled him and his new family to create a fully customized Jeep to suit his inability to feel his legs! Diezel humbly refers to the time spent with his Jeep family developing and building this unique race-car as their "therapy." Now, with Diezel's only expectation in this new racing venture being "to get closer as a family," there was no stopping him!
Diezel also opened an offroad shop called STACKED OFFROAD. STACKED OFFROAD customizes vehicles to create amazing offroad machines for clients and friends. But Diezel's true passion remains racing his Jeep, El Torito, around the country. With the support of sponsors, Diezel hopes to be able to race full-time in the near future.
